We settled in Hartland Michigan 1991 and have been raising Poultry for 13 years. The first two turkeys (called poults) were purchased for our own use. After eating what we had raised we could not believe the difference in the taste we had discovered. In fact many of the people we had over for that Thanksgiving meal requested that we raise them one. So every year the number of birds we raised increased to the point we raise 500 per year.
